since I had this colorway from the 2008 olympics, I thought I’d bring it back as a knitalong for the 24' paris olympics! sean riley wrote this sweet little kerchief pattern for us and I’m so grateful. I told him I was inspired by opening ceremony night outfits I have seen in the past with a little scarf like the ones worn in 2012 by the US. and voila! shout out to our knitwear model Ollie for showing everyone what it looks like. this is a beginner-level pattern too so everyone can join even if you’re not an olympic level knitter! you will also receive a cute, colorful closing stitch marker to help keep track of the front side of the work as a little gifty.
here is how this works! the olympics start july 26th. this yarn is dyed in scout's OG fingering weight yarn. each skein is approximately 400 yards and it’s all you will need to make this pattern. we will sell this yarn through the last day of the olympics on august 11th, and ship it as quickly as possible so you can start knitting with us when you get your yarn. (we have quite a few in stock so they will ship out immediately!) your pattern will be shared with you when your yarn is sent. we would LOVE for you to join us in our private group on FB where we will share all things finchmod/scout's swag, especially this knitalong!
so grab your hank to join in on the fun!
