Every skein in the scout’s swag lineup is currently dyed on a super-soft superwash merino or a dreamy merino blend—perfect for everything from socks to your newest garment. Want something a little different? If you are looking for a garment’s worth, or anything custom at all, just shoot me an email at scout@finchmod.com, and I’ll make it happen!

To keep your handmade magic looking its best, give it a gentle hand-wash in cool or lukewarm water with a gentle wool wash such as the Eucalan pods I carry in the shop. Gently roll up your knit in a towel to squeeze excess water out and lay it flat on a towel or drying rack to air dry.  

Each skein is hand-dyed by me with love, care, and high-quality professional acid dyes. I dye in small batches, which means every skein is a little unique. Expect some subtle shifts in color that add gorgeous depth and interest when knit or crocheted up.

I’m a professional photographer, so I work hard to make sure what you see online is as true to color as possible. That said, screens can be sneaky, so you might see slight differences in person. All scout’s swag yarn is dyed right here in my smoke-free, pet-free studio south of Austin, Texas. I promise, Finch & Ollie don’t get to play where the yarn is! 🤣
