These skeins are dyed using the assigned pooling technique, which was first brought to life by Dawn Barker who has incredible patterns here! Instead of blending evenly like a tonal or variegated, the yarn has intentional color repeats that pool in a predictable way. That means you can use special stitches to play with the color when it shows up and get some really cool texture and movement in your project.
If you want to see this technique in action, check out my STUNNING sample knit by Grumperina using the Dizzy Dancing pattern by Knitgraffiti. It shows exactly how the pooling works and how fun it is to knit up. In this shawl, there was one skein of thistley and one skein of figgy. I just love how it turned out!
I can also create whatever colors you'd like in this technique if you want a custom order. Just reach out to scout at finchmod dot com!

Please note: Due to my hand-dyeing techniques, each hank will be slightly unique—even within the same batch—but all are dyed together to maintain consistency. Color intensity may also vary depending on the fiber content. Yarns that are 100% superwash wool will appear more vibrant, while bases with silk, non-superwash wool, or cellulose fibers (like cotton or linen) will have a softer, more muted appearance.
