🍸 gimlet – A fresh, citrusy chartreuse that feels like a spring cocktail.
this spring collection is inspired by the trending colors of 2025 and my growing love for garment knitting. when I first started scout’s swag, I focused mainly on dyeing sock yarn. but these days, I’m all about making garments—and I wanted to create yarn that makers like me would reach for when planning their next sweater or wardrobe staple.
the bases:
fingering weight
•scout’s OG - 2ply - 80/20 sw merino/nylon - 420yds/100g
•scout’s super-fav - 4ply - 75/25 sw merino/nylon 460yds/100g
DK
•scout’s silky singles - single ply - 40% superfine alpaca, 40% merino, 20% silk - 250/100g
aran
•scout’s aran - 4ply - 100% sw merino - 210yds/100g
Please note: Due to the hand-dyeing techniques I use, each hank will be slightly unique—even within the same batch—but all are dyed together to maintain consistency. Color intensity may also vary depending on the fiber content. Yarns that are 100% superwash wool will appear more vibrant, while bases with silk, non-superwash wool, or cellulose fibers (like cotton or linen) will have a softer, more muted appearance.
